The Donations for Improvement

The bond issue was slashed from $8 million to $4.2 million from the $3.8 million of generosity from private donors. The donation drive, headed by David Smith and Tim Marsho, made the fund raising possible. In fact, the original goal was $3 million--optimistic in itself. However, the fund raising group raised $3,813,196, a large part due to an anonymous donation.

The group is still hard at work, though. A brick sale and more promised private donations should raise an additional $100,000 for a grand piano for the theater, a hoist to move wrestling mats in the new gym, and computer equipment.
