Improved Classrooms
By Peter Sullivan
In addition to the new facilities, the following existing classrooms would also be upgraded:
- Family and Consumer Science Labs. These lab spaces, such, as kitchens, would receive new equipment under the proposed bond issue.
- Science Labs. In the areas of Chemistry and Physics, the labs are outdated and aged. New laboratory space and equipment would bolster the Science Department of Grinnell High School
- PC Computer Labs. All of the existing computer labs are Mac labs, so computer labs with Windows-based PCs would widen the options available to students.
- Industrial Technology Facilities. The Industrial Tech, metalshop, and wooodshop enhancements would greatly benefit students taking courses in these areas.
The proposed bond issue would give new life to many of Grinnell High School's aging classrooms and bring them into the 21st century.
