Homer Simpson: The Loving Male Role Model

"My Balogna has a first name! It's H...O...M...E...R...!" The beloved husband, devoted father, sensible neighbor, and hard-working employee we all know as Homer J Simpson is indeed a great role model for all American family men.

Homer Simpson is a devoted father. He holds a steady job at the local plant. A decent and law abiding citizen is he; Marge and the kids are sure that Homer will come home from work everyday. Now on to the good stuff: Homer has a job that he utterly hates and a boss he hates even more! Sometimes life is extremely depressing; why not drown those sorrows in a good can or glass of Duff at Moe's tavern. Homer is the personification of the family leader that does not know everything (or a lot of things, for that matter) but still maintains his superiority through a showy display of masculine verbosity! He has one of those neighbors that just seems to always finish on top--the perfect display of all that is pure and chaste in life; and it ANNOYS THE CRAP out of him! And you wonder why we love Homer so much?!? Homer is the typical middle aged American male on the tracks to successful familyhood (or, shall we say, plans to get on those tracks).
