An "Unbalanced" Schedule is Perfectly Acceptable

Warning: This sample page is under development!

If I take the required courses for my major, and the three courses in each division to travel abroad, is it possible for my schedule to still be "unbalanced"?

Yes, your schedule may still be considered "unbalanced", even if you have fulfilled all your requirements. For example, you may find yourself particularly drawn to the sciences and humanities with little interest in the social sciences. If you don't travel abroad until your second semester of junior year, you will have taken 19 classes (in addition to your tutorial) before you leave. Let's say three of those were in the social sciences, as required, and five were humanities. That leaves eleven classes in the sciences division that you have taken during your first five semesters. A 3:5:11 ratio is not particularly "balanced". But as I said, it's your schedule, not theirs.
