Session X1: Primitive Types

In this laboratory session, you will develop and execute a number of small programs intended to reveal issues about the ways in which Java stores and manipulates its primitive types, like integers and real numbers. The goals of this laboratory session are to

• investigate Java's primitive types;
• learn about type coercion; and
• consider operator precedence in Java.

Your instructor will tell you which of the experiments you are to perform.
