Session J3: Building Your Own Classes

In this laboratory session, you will learn more about the capabilities of objects and extend your skills at building and using objects and classes. The goals of this laboratory are to

• introduce the state of an object;
• demonstrate how to describe and manipulate the state of an object;
• consider overloading, in which multiple methods in the same class can have the same name; and
• show you how to develop your own constructors for creating and initializing objects.

Your instructor will tell you which of the proposed experiments you are to perform.
