Preliminaries

Admin

• It's good to see reports coming in. Please submit yours if you haven't already.
• We'll let groups choose the order of presentation (based on their position in the last set of presentations.)

Questions

Presentation Format

We will have presentations every week. We'll alternate between quick presentations (next week) and more substantive presentations. Today's is a substantive presentation.

• Intended Goals. Remind us of your goals for the time period and the points you associated with those goals.
• Overview of Accomplishments. Which of those goals did you accomplish? What other (unexpected) things did you deal with along the way?
• Demo. Show off the current state of your system, focusing on the parts you were working on.
• Code Walkthrough. Show us an interesting part of your code from the past two weeks and explain it to us. (Optional today.)
• New Goals. What do you intend to accomplish over the next two-week iteration? What points have you assigned to each task? How are you dividing the work?

Please strive for organized and coherent presentations.

• Good progress.

Phone Notification

Accomplishments

• Validates phone numbers correctly.
• Autofill in edit.
• Fix bug in edit/update.
• Met with new partner. Learned some new things.
  • Fundamental difference in how system may be used. We planned use Web site. They want text from cell phone.
• Note: Students not in clsses don't show up.
• Note: Notifications are not yet appearing
• Velocity: 7 to 8 points.

Goals

GAM

Accomplishments

• Documented!
• Since it's close to MVP, it's good to have it documented.
• Chatted with mentor.
• Trying to understand where they are in the project.
• Can we both deploy and start a new project? Probably not.
• Velocity was 22 points

Demo

• Some problems with login.
• Note: need to connect code for "send me a new password"
• Plan that "Grant Management System" brings it back.
• Needs to get some sample data.
• Learned how to get in on admin side.
• Need to explore admin and regular stuff.

Goals

• Oooh! They used Trello.
• One group is doing user experience; the other is doing RSpec tests.
• There is a giant cucumber test.
• Really pushing for MVP - Front end and back end.
• Looking through their Trello page.

Resource Portal

• 10 points in past two weeks (about 1 point per hour).

• Merged in bunch of old stuff.
