Questions
The joy of certificates
- To use secure HTTP (aka https) it needs a “certificate” on the server
that provides some appropriate information.
- Public key
- Validation that the certificate is appropriate
- Officially, the certificate should be signed by someone authoritative.
- Many people didn’t like to pay, skipped HTTPS, self-signed certificate
- Google designated itself a moral authority and made Chrome yell about these.
