Questions
Questions on HW4
- Do we really have to do eighteen-billion tests for each of the kinds of
- shapes we can make?
- No. Do a few tests for each kind of shape. Then do the large number of tests for one of the shapes
Questions in preparation for the quiz
- Why do we see only a quarter circle?
- Because we only render the part of the drawing that fits within the “image rectangle”?
- How do I know what’s in the “image rectangle”?
- The top-left of the image rectangle is (0,0). It has the width and
height specified by
drawing->image. - What happens if I scale the unit circle by 20?
- You get a new circle centered at (0,0) with diameter 20.
- What happens if I scale that new circle by 2?
- You get a new circle centered at (0,0) with diameter 40.
- Why does the “unit circle” have a diameter of 1?
- Because Mathematicians got it wrong when they thought it had a radius of 1.
- What does it mean when Gimp says that it has a “dying plugin”?
- Sam’s code for coordinating Gimp and DrRacket is buggy.
- What happens when you shift and then scale?
- Scale scales every aspect of the drawing: width, height, position
- Does horizontal scaling affect the vertical position?
- It shouldn’t.
- If ….
- Maybe
Lab
