MediaScript
These instructions will only work for Grinnell students, faculty, and staff.
As you know, although we developed the augmented versions of GIMP and DrScheme under Linux, we have not yet packaged them in such a way that you can easily install them on your own Linux workstation (although the brave at heard can still try to build MediaScript from source).
However, it is still possible for you to work on GIMP and MediaScript on your own Linux workstation. How? You can run GIMP on one of our Linux workstations and have the GIMP and MediaScript windows appear on your own Linux workstation.
The steps are pretty straightforward
ssh -X username@workstation.cs.grinnell.edu
You can use any of the CS Linux
workstations.
/home/rebelsky/bin/gimp
