No.

Sunday, I hope.
When will we get MP 9 back?
Sunday, I hope.
When will you send out grade reports?
After SoLA 4 and MP9 are graded.
Probably after any redos are graded.
When will we get other MPs back?
TBD.
I forgot to submit part of MP9 / I want to fix MP9. What do I do?
Resubmit. (Let me know if you plan to do so, so that I don’t grade
yours early.)
Will the entire size of the image be considered for MP9?
I will run (image-width (image-series n NUM1 NUM2))
and see if it’s
NUM1
.
I will run (image-height (image-series n NUM1 NUM2))
and see if it’s
NUM2
.
If not, no E.
Can I earn two tokens if I visit the therapy dogs at two separate sessions?
Yes.
How about if I visit two therapy dogs in the same session?
No.

A class activity, part 1
Grab white cards. Write things down. Whee!
“The subject matter of this class”
- “Fill in the blank helped me learn the subject matter of this class.”
- The broad subject matter of the class
- This is a course intended to help you learn computational thinking,
develop problem-solving skills, and introduce you to the functional
model of computation/programming.
- Scheme programming, Computational Thinking, Functional Problem Solving,
How to build software (testing), General skills, …
- Another perspective
- Other things that aren’t evaluated, but may still be important. (TPS)
- Be kind.
- Be snarky. Snark is love. (Maybe “snark is life”, for Ted Lasso fans.)
- The components of an algorithm (sequencing, conditionals)
- Credit those you get help from
- We can teach ourselves; Sam is pointless
- Practice asking questions
- We have multiple audiences for our code; documentation helps!
- Decomposition is an important skill, one that need not be limited to CS
- You don’t have to know everything; it’s good to ask questions and
ask for help [+1]
- The class is hard; acknowledge that hard classes sometimes suck
- There was so much work that we learned how to manage our time better [+2]
- Use math
- Pair programming can be useful in other situations; think about the
driver and navigator paradigm.
- Pay attention
- The big five:
You are awesome. People care about you. Take care of yourselves.
Moderation. Consent.
EOCEs
- The mentor and I will leave during this portion of the class. Someone
will need to grab us after you are finished.
- Do not leave after EOCEs.
