Notes and News
- Happy slightly belated Lunar New Year! (I realize that different
cultures name it differently; we tend to use “Lunar New Year” as
an inclusive term at Grinnell.)
- Evening tutoring will be available 3-5 p.m. Sundays and 8-10 p.m.
Sundays through Thursdays in the tutoring channel on the CS team.
- If evening tutors + mentor sessions are not enough, we do have
individual tutors available.
- Evening tutors like visitors.
- I am spending too much time on auto graders and not enough time
grading manually.
- Expect a slew of grades and makeup quizzes on Monday if not
before.
- Today’s autograder gives scores, but not text results.
(I love debugging!)
- If you miss class, I do expect you to watch the recording, read over
the transcript and eboard, and/or talk to other students.
- Warning! I’ve spent too much of today staring at the screen and my
eyes are not focusing well. It may take me a minute to check in with
you.
- Yes, you can make the same comment to me from time to time.
- We’re doing lists! Yay!
- History: Racket is a variant of Scheme. Scheme is a variant of
LISP (invented in late 1950’s). LISP stands for “LIst and Symbolic
Processing”
