Q&A
Lab
Preparation
- Make sure that you have the correct lab page.
- Person closest to the screen is A. Other person is B.
- Make sure to have the pre-class discussion.
- Review the procedures in the lab, too.
Notes during class
- If the average of five dice is 3.5, the sum must be 5*3.5 or 17.5. Whoops.
sum-dice needs recursion.
- I would appreciate it if someone would chuckle knowingly at “pair-a-dice”,
which is clearly the best procedure name ever.
- Sam doesn’t like
(if (= (play-seven-eleven) 1) ...). Why?
- Remember asking me why we write procedures with no parameters? Today’s
lab helps explain some of the reasons.
- Sam would define
heads? as (lambda () (zero? (random 2))).
Wrapping up
- If you haven’t finished lab, feel free to finish it on your own or
with a partner.
- Have a wonderful break!
- “I’ll be back!”
