One of our biggest qualms with the bookstore is the lack of trust that exists between the administration and the students. This is most exemplified by the fact that bringing backpacks and purses into the bookstore is disallowed. While stealing books might be tempting, it would be pretty easy to notice someone stealing their semester's worth of books because they will be walking with a noticeable lean. This fact wouldn't even be an issue if the administration did either of two things: openly admit that they don't trust the students, or provided an example of when stealing from the bookstore was a problem.
