Grading

The following grading scheme is approximate and is likely to change as the term progresses. Note that I grade on a fairly "pure" scale (94-100 is an A, 90-93 is an A-, 87-89 is a B+, and so on and so forth), although I do use some "play" in my scale.
Homework 55%
Midterm 15%
Final 20%
Class Participation 10%

Policies

Late Assignments Unexcused late assignments will be penalized 10% per day late (or fraction thereof). I do understand that there are times that it is impossible to have assignments done on time, and will make allowances if you discuss problems with me in advance.
Solutions I will sometimes hand out solutions (with advance warning). No late assignments will be accepted after solutions are handed out.
Documentation Every programming assignment should have a short, accompanying "reader's guide" that describes overall organization, key points, trouble spots, and anything else you think that I will find useful as I attempt to read your code.
Modifications I reserve the right to change any and all aspects of the course, including these policies. I expect that I will change the grading scheme and syllabus.
